Happy Tails

Nothing better than a happy ending or “Happy Tail”.  Here are some of our alumni purrfectly happy in their forever homes.

Oscar and Callie

My children both adopted kittens for their birthdays this year. The best present ever because those little kittens just keep on giving to all of us every day! They each have a distinct personality… Oscar always at our feet wanting to be with us and oh so playful, Callie a bit more laid back and taking us all in. They compliment each other and have been great friends too. Alicia and Janet have been awesome and flexible to work with. They really care about the kittens they foster and find homes for and want a great fit for everyone.

A year after losing our beloved 14-year-old tomcat, we walked into PetSmart and saw Dusk and Bradley in an ARC adoption center. Our seven-year-old asked to hold a kitten and Dusk snuggled down in his arms as though she’d known him forever. We learned that she and her brother had been rescued from a feral litter in a woodpile as babies, but you would never know it. We brought them home ten days after meeting them, and they have been the gentlest, most loving and playful cats we’ve ever known, even with our two young boys. They keep each other company and yet are always glad to climb onto our laps or follow us around asking to be petted. We are so grateful to ARC for turning them into such wonderful family pets and matching us up with them. We’re looking forward to many years with our sweet rescue kitties.

We found our wonderful boy, Neutrino, at PetSmart in January, 2011. We believe he was born around May, 2010 so his designated birthday is May 10th. He was a rescue and his foster mom was Alicia . His original name was Gaston. We had just lost our beloved Duncan and Duncan ’s littermate Joey needed a companion. We immediately fell in love with our new gray boy and re-named him “Neutrino” (“small neutral one” in Italian). His name was quickly shortened to“Trino”. Trino and Joey got along from the second they met and became good buddies. When we lost Joey in July, 2012, we needed time to grieve for both Joey and Duncan and it wasn’t until October, 2013 that we took in a male stray named Benji that needed a forever home. Trino has welcomed Benji just as Joey welcomed him. It is amazing how well they got along immediately. Trino is a real gentleman. They play chase and roughhouse and Benji is just what Trino needed after losing his pal Joey.
